Three Ways to Get Out of a Rut

Martin Luther King Jr said, If you can't fly then run. If you can't run then walk. If you can't walk then crawl but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

Amen to that! It's vital that we keep moving forward in our lives. Whether it's physically, spiritually, emotionally or mentally. We have to take efforts everyday to see progress.

Here's some ways you can keep moving forward in life:

Stop looking back.

The past is behind you. To move forward you have to:

-Stop referring to it.

-Stop trying to re-live it.

-Stop trying to make sense of it and move forward.

Have you ever thought maybe some things didn't work out because you deserve so much more?

Let go and move forward. Never let the past keep you from moving forward.

Leo Christopher said it ever so eloguently-Moving on is being able to look back without reaching back. That is so good!

Stop wishing things were different

Stop talking about how it could be different. You know, the if only’s--if only I had more money, if only I grew up differently, if only people had believed in me. If only my family was still together.

In order to make progress you have to stop making excuses.

No more excuses! Your excuses are keeping you stuck in the same place doing the same thing, with the same mindset.

Stop wishing and start doing. It's not about wishbone, it's about backbone.

Stop telling yourself every reason why you can't keep moving.

Stop saying it's impossible.

Stop saying things will never change.

Stop saying there’s no use of even trying..

Stop saying you will never succeed.

Let me encourage you: stop looking at where you are and begin to look at where you want to go or where you want to be and then move toward it.

No more limiting thoughts.

No more limiting fears.

No more limiting beliefs.

Every time you want to focus on the negative, start moving toward the blessings in your life.

One step at a time.

If you wake up discouraged, get some coffee and keep moving.

If you feel overwhelmed, get some fresh air and keep moving.

If you feel like things will never change for the better, put some good looking shoes on and get moving.

You don't have to have it all figure out to get moving. It just takes one step at a time.

To get strong physically, you have to keep moving. Literally. Walking, running, exercising, healthy living. Motion is lotion to your muscles.

To get stronger mentally and emotionally, you have to get your mind moving in the right direction. You have to move past toxic, negative, self-destructive, immobilizing thoughts toward healthy thinking.

For a stronger, healthier family, get moving in the direction of your desires. Go to church every week. Pray together. Change the atmosphere in your home from one of chaos toward peace. How? Move in the direction of peace. Move in the direction of unity and love. Stop doing what doesn't work and you begin to move toward change. Change begins with you.

Know what you want and begin to move toward it.

Remember, if you keep doing the same thing, you will get the same results. Do something different. Move in the direction of your dreams. If you stop moving, you will never become the person you want to be. But that’s not who you are! You are a mover and you are capable of AMAZING things. Don't settle. Don't stay stuck. Keep moving and your life will begin to change for the better.
