3 Things You Really Should Keep to Yourself

One of my favorite quotes: A wise man once said nothing. Ok yall, that's brilliant!

I know there’s a ton out there in the social media world that leaves little to the imagination. People aren’t shying away from sharing it all with the world. Hey, if that’s your thing—you do you.

I’ve discovered some things, in my opinion, are better left unsaid. In other words, we can choose to share or not share. The ball is in our court. I want to give you 3 things that I believe are better to stay quiet about.

  1. Your next move

Here’s a quick fact—Not everybody needs to know your every move!

You know why? Wait for it…because not everybody is FOR YOU! Shocking, I know.

My theory—Work hard in silence. Do what you’re destined to do. Build what your supposed to build. Don't tell people your plans, show them your results.. Simple enough, right?

You don’t have to make noise to make moves.

2. Your success

Have you realized yet that some people don't won't you to succeed! Some people won't be able to handle your success. Some people don’t want you to live your best life. They don’t realize someone else’s success doesn’t mean their failure.

Why not eliminate that distraction and let those who love you and are happy for you celebrate with you!

3. Your personal life

Here are some truths:

Not everybody needs to know what you're doing, how your family is, what shape your marriage is in, etc.

Not everyone will understand the battles you're fighting.

Not everyone needs to be in your conversations.

You’ve heard the statement—One of the most expensive things you can do is pay attention to the wrong people.

It’s so true! Listen, this is your story, don’t risk it! Be protective of your life, your family, your marriage, your purpose, your conversations and even your prayers. Guard it like it’s something precious.

Understand that it's ok to be silent. Not every needs to know and very few deserve to know.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is nothing at all.
